Clearly there is sin everywhere we go, but I have been thrust back into an entirely unwholesome and ungodly environment. Sailors truly do fit the stereotype regarding their language and I struggle with mine every single day. I also do not have much (if any) support. I am alone in my fight to live a righteous life and be a light to my shipmates. I ask that you pray for me that God will guide me and fill me up with His spirit. I also would like prayer that those who do not know Him might be able to see something different about me. As a good friend told me in an e-mail recently, I have an awesome mission field right under my feet, but nothing I say or do will matter if my life does not reflect what I "preach."
