I just received a phone call that there's a $4000 gap in what we said we would pay for our new house and what the bank expects us to pay. We've already spent lots of money on stuff for this place, but coming up with another 4k is gonna be hard. We saved up enough (or so we thought) to put a down payment and buy things we needed for the house, like a washer and other things that needed to be replaced. On top of that, if I have to spend a minute more at my inlaws house than I have to, I'm gonna go insane. Please pray for us! Thanks.

So that means you're off the hook? Or that person basically shrugs their shoulders, says "My bad.", and you get stuck with the bill?

Talked with our agent. Didn't get any new information other than Citibank doesn't like the numbers the appeared on the purchase agreement.

I am sorry that your in-laws are not as awesome as mine were. I wish I would have lived with them longer. And quit praying for patience - that comes by trial...

as someone that spent 2yrs living with his in-laws and went insne I will diffenetly be praying for you. I'll also make a prayer that things go through and you are able to make the purchase on your new home.

Our realtor finally got fed up with the sellers agent and called the guy's boss. He got a call about a half hour later from that agent. If anyone needs a good real estate agent, I got a great one!

right now we're 99% sure we have it. We are moving ahead with the closing, but are being cautious. My realtor said today that he doesn't trust the other realtor at all. So we are still going to try and close but we have to bring an extra 2k to the table.

We are about to leave for our final walk through and then to closing. Please pray for us and specifically that I don't kick the seller's agent between the uprights...

We closed!! We've moved a bunch of stuff already and will soon be packing up my computer and will be setting it up on a connection that isn't DSL!
