Prayer forum threads

I notice that when looking at the new posts each day that there are a lot of prayer-based or real-life based topics that promote good religious discussion or advice.

I am just curious as to why people dont use the main CGA prayer forum that often. Do people want to just keep things between those that know them (strange in an open forum), or do people not know how to navigate the prayer forums?

Im not having a moan, i just wonder if there is a way to streamline the process of posting prayers/advice/discussions that will include the most number of people and remain active.. after all.. it is prayer and discussion that should be the backbone of this forum.

So just throwing that out there... let the discussion commence (yes i know its ironic that i didnt put this in the prayer forum :p)
 
There used to be a religious discussion forum, but it was closed (and archived) after the moderator got worn out.
 
yeah it was fully closed. The prayer forum is something ive been promoting for months but people still refuse to use it, it seems. They would rather post prayer requests in the wow gen, or gw gen forums
 
I believe moderators have the ability to copy threads to the CGA Prayer Request / Praise Report Forum. If moderators would be willing to copy threads to the CGA Prayer/Praise Forum, that would keep the thread both local (in the original forum) and global (more highly visible to members of other affiliates).
 
Move the prayer forum to where it shows up on the front page (like the general discussion) and more people will see it. I rarely go because it is buried under 2-3 links.

Might I suggest you ask each person first? Not everyone would like that.
 
I would actually advocate moving the thread into the prayer area with a link back in the original area..instead of having to keep track of two threads. It's something for he mods to discuss with the members..:)
 
Cool, sounds like a plan.. Definitely is better to have more people praying about each thing

For the record, the moderators did not get worn out. The reasons were considerably deeper than that. If you want more info, please PM me.

In regards to the prayers, some of us may feel closer to those in our own gaming communities, especially regarding some very tough situations. I don't think it is meant as a negative against the CGA prayer forum, but rather asking for prayer from someone who knows us a little more.

Of course, its every persons choice where they post it. I just thought it would be more logical to have more people praying (perhaps even just posting a simplified version so that only the details are shared with the friends in a chapter)..

I dunno, just trying to open up some discussion.
