Pray for me that I am used by God

Hey on June 6th I'll may be preaching, formally, as aposed to lecturing, and it has been a few years. I ask that you pray that God use me and let Him speak through me and not me speak.

As a good friend said right before I preached, that Chris shut-up and let God speak. First time I had someone pray for me to shut up, well in front of me.


I am looking at preaching from Habakkuk, I am excited.
 
What a tremendous privilege, Chris! May the Holy Spirit use you as his voice as you deliver what God has laid upon your heart for this specific time and place. I love that piece of advice - "Let Christ speak through you." That is anointed preaching, exercising an aspect of the gift of prophecy often and exhortation. May the Lord bless you with "fruit" from this effort!
 
May Christ shine through you so people will remember Him and not you. Praying with you friend.

Will be praying brother! :) I know how it can be to go through periods of preaching droubts at times while still "teaching" but there is just something about preaching that really brings joy to my heart anyways through God working through us. :)
 
Great to hear. God brought you to mind over the weekend and i prayed as well. Preaching from Habakkuk must have been cool to do. Thx for being faithful to an opportunity and bringing God's word to peeps.
