Excellent news, all! After a month of car shopping, I purchased a 1997 Nissan Maxima on Monday, February 23, 2004. I'll spare you all the terrible story of my torturous car shopping experience (for now) and instead revel in the many wonders of my new car.
This wonderful vehicle is black with black leather interior, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, security system, a Bose sound system (CD, cassette, AM/FM), heated seats to warm your bum, sunroof, and, finest of all, a V6 engine. *squeals with delight*
The car cost more than I had originally budgeted for a car, but after test driving it and confirming that my parents would be willing to commit more money to the purchase (my parents agreed to pay half the cost), I knew that this was the car that God wanted me to drive. Everything lined up so perfectly that I knew this was right and I couldn't walk away from it. Now I'm driving a dream car! w00t!
I'll have to share the whole story some time. The first 29 days of the month of car shopping were discouraging, depressing, and just plain stunk. The few days leading up to the final purchase were wonderfully joyous. I purchased the car from a Christian car dealership in Tulsa and the car salesman even prayed over the car with us before we signed the papers!
I'll try to post some pictures of the car this week. Also, watch this thread for the full story (if/when I get/take the time to write and post it).
