Portal 2

Amazon should be delivering mine later today ... got the 360 version as I totally can't handle FPS-style games with keyboard/mouse.

Portal was my favorite console game of the last 5, maybe 10 years. Totally looking forward to blasting blue and orange holes in the wall tonight.

Funny - I'm totally the opposite when it comes to FPS controls. I pwn like a fiend in CS, but you should see me fumble around on Halo or Call of Duty. It's shameful. Really. You could give me a gun that automatically destroys everything standing in front of me, and I'd still miss half the time.

That's because twinsticks as a control scheme for first-person shooters are an abomination.

Just sayin'.

And I'm waiting on a Steam sale, too. Oh, and gainful employment.

It's true. He gets really annoyed with console fps games and has to go play Hello Kitty Island Adventure to calm down.

Yeah, that IS the norm. Read something a year or two ago that some company or another had tried to do multi-platform MMO FPS (can't remember what game it was ... CoD or Halo or something) ... and abandoned the wh ole concept because mediocre PC players were just wasting skilled console players. Apparently because the PC controls are so much tighter/better overall.

But the twinsticks are intuitive for me for whatever reason, whereas with WASD + mouse it's about all I can manage to just run out of the fire that appears under me.
