Penguin based Gaming

Anyone here use Linux on their gaming box? I'm converting to Fedora Core 5 with Cedega and just want to get some ideas.

You using ATI or Nvidia.

Ati on linux doesnt work well at all.

Also, FC5 is highly beta and not stable. I suggest something more stable then fedora core line of distros.

Cedega costs $5/month to use.

Is there a good alternative to Cedega? I use ATi but it's an older card, so it should work decently.

I tried Ubuntu, but it doesn't like my LAN adapter on my motherboard and I don't know enough about Linux yet to recompile a driver.

Wine has been getting alot better lately, with a little more work you can make it be almost as good as cedega.
