Pastori's future absence

In Oregon, there's not too much to worry about, except for lack of sun and the "Super Quake of Doom" that's supposed to happen sometime or another fairly soon...
 
...unless the earth's plates don't simply collide, but one of the plates "subducts" and causes a major volcanic eruption...
