I just went to a Bible study at a friends house. There I heard that around 300 AD, Passover was outlawed by the Christians. I was also given the name "Constantine," he was trying to reach all the pagans. convert pagan holidays into Christian Holidays. Ok here is my goal I really want to study this more. SO HELP I don't know if that is true or not.... I know the messianic Jews still celebrate passover.

Wellll...all that I can tell you is that there are no Christian holidays, only holy days. Christmas and Easter were converted from pagan ones. They were converted so as to appeal to the masses of pagans that they wanted to assimilate and such. Perhaps it was this Constantine headed the movement?

Christmas: The day the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born.
Easter: The day the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was resurected.

Don't see any thing pagan about that.

Phantom- Many of the Christian Holy-days were set on or around pagan holidays in an attempt to convert pagans to Christianity. Christmas was set around the pagan holiday of winter solstice and Easter was set around spring equinox. In fact, Easter was named after a pagan goddess Oestara (name spelling changes based on geographical location)

Many of the Jewish holidays provide a look at an attribute of the Messiah. For Passover, a lamb was slaughtered and the blood painted on the door posts to save the first born from death. Jesus is our lamb, with his blood being shed to save us all from death.

I love, love, love the fact when those doorpost were painted from each side, then the top...as it dripped, it formed a cross! Those hidden things that you must stop and think about thrill my soul!

And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:13

Just like today, He sees us covered in His blood, our passover Lamb of God!
