It has come to my attention that some of my post have come across as attacks on Tek.
I want to take complete responsiblility for this issue. It was never my intention to attack Tek or his authority.
It has been my desire to understand what has occured over the last few weeks and to understand how ToJ and Redeemed will work.
If anyone believes I do not support Tek then you are wrong. I support him and want only to make Redeemed everything that God wants it to be. It is my belief that this is what Tek wants as well. If i have come across differently, i am at fault and ask for forgiveness.
In Humility,
Matt
Matt,
Thank you for your words. Your kindness goes a long way to easing my recent frustration and discouragement. I stand relieved, knowing that, though you may disagree with me and my decisions, that you respect me. You should know that, even through our disagreements, I respect you as well. Your words have confirmed, in my mind, that you desire the Lord's will above all else.
I humbly accept your apology, and would like to offer one of my own: I apologize for not providing clearer policies and procedures for Redeemed. The Tribe of Judah charter was written several years ago; while the core values will remain the same, it's clear that the time has come to build onto that foundation and "flesh out" Tribe of Judah's foundational document.
Since Matt has shared his heart, I feel it only fair to share my own.
Icthus and others have presented valid points regarding challenges which Redeemed faces. During Tribe of Judah's history, several members have recognized room for change and improvement. Some have communicated their concerns with love, patience, and long-suffering. Others have spoken in anger and hostility, demanded immediate change, and left angrily when they did not see it.
To be frank, it is a rare and valuable gift when a person recognizes a problem and is willing to patiently work through it with other people. It is easy to recognize a problem and talk about it; it is quite another thing to say, "This problem is an opportunity, and I am going to commit my energy and time to resolve it."
Leadership, like love, is, in part, suffering for other people. Icthus, along with others, has endured the recent conflicts and strived to make a positive impact. Though there may be disagreement, there is respect and a shared ultimate goal: To glorify God and perform His will.
