Ooo, can you all say pwnt. Ye jumpers of the bandwagon, and ye of lil faith. Time to admit big pappy toe knows a thing or two about his Pats, and that you just got pwnt. Sure the Patriots played the worst game I've seen them play in quite some time, and the Panthers played superbly. Yet that was moot when Vinatieri kicked yonder field goal, for the mark of a truely great team is one who can still find ways to win despite their lack of game. So repent now and save yourself the trouble of further mocking.

bah shut up toe it was a close game and if carolina hadnt kicked it out of bounds then we all know they would of lost. arg that game did suck though untill the last 7 mins...

I personally enjoyed the fact that due to it's sever BLUNDERING of the half-time show, MTV will never get the chance to do one again.

GG to CBS

Lets throw as many random acts and big names and scantaly clad women onto the stage as possible, then call it a half time show.
And I thought Jannet Jacksons career was dead. X_X

Fleck -- Ms. Jackson's career IS dead. Those songs she sang were from the late 80's early 90's

and I was referring to what Mr. Timberlake did to her.

and for all their denying that it was planned, that particular article of clothing peeled away a tad to easy to not have been.

oh, may they get those nice huge fines that the FCC is trying to push through congress

Haven't watched the Super Bowl in years, ever since Canadian stations carrying the rebroadcast would swap out the ads and put in their own commercials, thereby removing the only reason I bothered to watch the event. ;)

But this Janet Jackson snafu....<sigh>...even less of a reason to watch. Maybe makes one pine for the "Up With Everything" People (Simpsons reference)?

Toe,
I'll give you that they won. but an pwning? really? they won with a KICKER, not a pwning. The kicker should have won a new mercedes, not Tom Brady....

As you will notice, I said it was me doing the pwntaging of you.

Also as much as I love Vinatieri, he also missed too very easy field goals that would have already had the game won. Brady played well, and his numbers were solid, even if unspectacular. Delholme, not gonna try and spell that right, would have gotten the MVP if the Panthers had won most likely. It's simply that there were very few big plays, and none that drasticly affected the outcome of the game. Both QB's put up solid numbers, though Delholme was like 14/40ish, and while everyone did their part the QB's were still the constants.
Plus it was choice of Cadillac, not Mercedes. You'll also note if you will though that Vinatieri has 4 misses indoors, ever. All 4 came at Reliant Stadium. Why this is no one knows. For a kicker though missing two relativly easy field goals destroys their confidence. It was also a 40 something yarder that won the game. Anyone who says that's easy, I'd like to see them do that with 8 seconds left and the game hanging on it.
Ironicly though, this was the same way they won two years ago. Ricky Proehl caught a touchdown to tie the game, and the Patriots march down the field with minimal time to win. Three points is huge in a game that was scoreless for almost 25 minutes, featuring two incredible defenses.
Besides through about 20 minutes the Panthers had less then 0 total yards, can't forget that now can we.
