One more TV purchase thread

my wife has one I think, its worked for 6 years now, C series, and it seems pretty good. I usually recommend laser printers to people but since your sharing, your caring :)

Why laser? Don't they take special paper? Aren't they more 'spensive?
Depending on print volume, laserjet printers can be considerably less expensive in the long run. I know we have an informal DeskJet kill count running where I work because they're money sinks.

I'm low volume print, maybe 15 sheets a month. They can be critical, but still low volume.

ah yeah. I bought a used hp laser jet 5 (super old), and it lasted through about 7,000 prints before the toner ran out (purchased used), and made it through all of college, even made fliers :D

The toner is kinda expensive for laser but you get thousands of sheets per toner :)

The deed is done, a TV is purchased. 'Twas a very tight budget indeed, even had to purchase a wall mount, and pay $25 to get rid of the old HUGE monster lurking in the living room. Will be here soon.

Part of the deal is I also have to buy a new queen size mattress to get the new box springs out of the living room, and provide pain free sleep for my lady love.

From an insider in the Mattress business... the price on the floor is AT LEAST 400% over what they paid from the manufacturer. Also, most of the manufacturers use the same core components. Your best bet is to get one from a small "mom and pop" store, even if its an off named brand. DO NOT get a re-manufactured one... ewww. Any more Q's about beds, PM me :D

We will be making the purchase from Big Lots on one that is on sale, they are out now, but will have it in on Tuesday and we have it in writing to get the same sale price. The problem is in my wife needing a softer bed to ease some arthritis pain, and some of the cheaper ones are brick hard. Even I am starting to get achey with our 42 year old bed. And I live in a smaller market area so there are a LOT fewer choices on places. I am looking forward to dropping a Queen size mattress on top of our Subaru Outback to get it home, we will look like the Joades from Grapes of Wrath, or maybe the Beverly Hillbillies. Maybe we can sing that theme all the way home.

The mattress is home. It looked a little strange tied to the top of the car but not too bad. A Queen pillow top Serta under 250.00. I had my better halve hum the tune to Beverly Hillbillies on the way home.
