Once you've completed the campaigns...

It seems you have to go pretty far down the thread list before you get to a Guild Wars 1 (not 2) thread - so I thought I'd bring one up. It kind of comes out of Xion's question thread.

Once you've completed the campaigns why do you keep playing Guild Wars? What do you find most fun or challenging that keeps you playing?

For me - hard mode was like a whole new game. Vanquishing and mapping were both so much fun - not a grind at all (once I found out about Texmod). I still find it hard to believe that I can actually be successful - I remember when a bunch of level 16 Charr could wipe me.

How about you? What's the fun for you now that you have "finished" the campaigns?

Creating Survivors, and letting the flow of 22 characters take me where it will. Each and every member of the clan is different and approaches the quests and missions in their own way. Ursina is still the boss lady though and pretty much gets her way.,

I've been working on the dungeons, too - they are tough and fun. Almost got my hard mode dungeon book filled.

That was a good one.

Also, I'll have to try the survivor thing sometime - not done that yet. Is that an account title or a character title?

Survivor, and by extension legendary survivor, is character-based. However, it was stated somewhere along the way that any achievement a single character puts in the hall of monuments will confer said benefit to all characters in the gw2 conversion/addition. Also, when you choose to view the hall in account mode, you can choose any statue or item to display, provided you have said tapestry displayed.

For my monk, after I got to level 20 and completed all the campaigns, it was all about titles and "leet" items. I know I did a stint in DoA to farm for my Tormented Shield and I ran around in the UW to gather ectos for my chaos gloves. But aside from that it was all about questing for my GWAMM, which I am currently just waiting to amass the necessary sweets/drinks/party items to get to the full title, as well as occasionally work toward my R12 Kurzick.

And now that my Necro is LDoA he'll be all about following in my monk's footsteps ;)

You wish.

Although - I need to get in there and kill stuff to get Lightbringer points. I'm getting very close to being a Holy Lightbringer.
