Odd to see someone banned.

Just log-on and noticed Braveheart is banned...

He actually was the only 1 manage to make me post a lot, even though my ratio is 1.11...

I have never seen anyone made 13 consecutive posts under 13 different topics...and 11.16 posts ratio... :eek:

Back when Atown was his age, he wasn't that compulsive...no offense intended.


Just odd to see that...sad too... :(
 
we do have an infractions system on the forums. Once you go over a certain threshold you get banned for a certain time..it's USUALLY not permanent.
 
haha i know corp dude, i thought the same thing. and it should only be a day ban or so.
 
Here, I'll put it here so nobody has to chase it it circles looking for what happened.

I banned him for 24 hours. He'll be allowed to post agin tonight.

I talked with him in a series of PMs after his behavior in the boards I moderate was deemed a problem. I clearly defined what I expected of him, those things did not happen. So I gave him a 24-hour break to stop and think about it.

I don't have time to chase him around all day and delete posts - most times there are several people that have already replied to him tryin to figure out why he's saying the things that he has. At that point, it's a bit late to delete his post.

For those on the outside looking in, please understand that I really have tried to be fair, that I've tried to work with him, that I warned him about what I would do if he continued to do what he was doing. If I've screwed up and gone outside what I was supposed to do, what I should have done, or whatever, admins, please let me know.
 
And something to add. It had nothing to do with his spam, or 11 posts per day count. I can deal with spam. I chuckle about it quite a bit. When it bothers me, I just stop reading.

There were specific things he said and did that lead him to a 1-day ban, and me typing what feels like 520,000 words today in PMs and posts like these. *sighs*
 
The reason for this has been made clear. I'm closing this thread because of that, any additional posts about this situation will be classified as spam.
