Guilty.....

Although I do know the time zones now and can tell time across the country without thinking to hard....(and they say you can't learn nothing form video games)

Take another MMO like EVE....where there are no American servers, or European servers.....

you stay up late to play with the west coast guys, then a few hours with them, and the Russians login, an hour or two more and the Brits are in. You can stay up all night......but you may want a translator

I wonder how many characters Halonic has 15k armor on? he certainly could afford that, like, 10 times over...

I have 15k armor on only one character. At the time I bought it, the only way to get more energy was 15k.

I don't have Fissure armor on any characters.

I have certainly examined 15k and Fissure armors but decided I would keep what I had since it didn't increase my AL or give me more energy. The difference in looks alone did not excite me enough to purchase the elite armor.

My Necro is the only character I have that I bought different armor because I just didn't like the looks of what I had. The look I wanted was achieved by combining Luxon and Kurzick without buying 15k.

There is a lesson here. If you add up the money you paid for all of your 15k armor pieces and add in the cost of the materials you would probably have as much money as I do.

I go for functionality first, practicality second, and looks third.

I agree with Halonic. I have plenty of cash saved up in storage, but I don't have a single set of 15k armor. In fact, I am such a cheapskate, that my necro, even with just shy of 1.5 million xp and ranger with over 800k xp, are both still wearing a set of desert collector armor. The added functionality would be nice, but the lack of it has never hindered me from being able to keep up. I would like the extra energy on both of these characters, so I was considering buying Kurzick 15k Cabalist for the necromancer and some form (not 15k) of druids on my ranger, but never got around to it.

Does anyone know if the max armor (1k, 5k gem, 10k or 15k) in Nightfall has the inherent mods, or do you need insignias for even the high end ones too?

Good Question. Everyone who knows me knows I am not an Avid Farmer I am good at it but do not enjoy it very much. I have 15k on 1 Character but other than that I have nada. I am decently wealthy but it is because I do not spend it on anything. I flat out refuse to buy any type of weapon lol. Randy you are filthy rich because you save I dont think anyone has spend enough gold to be close to you. Maybe if we saved every Plat we ever got we would match your plat but you have to remember you have ecto shards rubies to name a few. We would never match your wealth if we took those into account lol.

seriously, there should be a new enchantment in Guild Wars called the Spirit of Halonic. free money and crafting materials for every kill.

Our guild has become a wealthy guild generally speaking. Its much harder to give stuff away to you guys than it used to be.

Another thing that has hurt my giveaways is that I don't group with guildies near as much any more to find out what their needs are. Heros/henchies have hurt that aspect of the game.

The third thing is that I rarely listen to alliance chat so you need to whisper or use guild chat if you are in need.

I believe you will be able to use Alliance chat very shortly. If you have not heard the news we will be consolidating the Alliance and dropping four of the current guilds.

*as I lean back and let out a resigned sigh, I can hear taps playing, faintly, in the background*

:(

Henchies... don't get me started out the stupidity of henchies... *hiccup* *hic* I... *hic* remember when I thought they were cool... *hiccup* then I found out that the healers were the worst... wouldn't rez... wouldn't... *hic*... do anything but keep themselves alive half the time...

AND LOOK *HIC* AT ME NOW!! *drains a bottle of root beer* *hiccups*

I love heroes. haha. I could never do the missions cuz A) I hate pugs, and B)I'm rarely on with any of the guildies, and when I am, nobody replies to my pleas for help(doing more IMPORTANT things like HoH or something. psh)

so, with heroes, I'm able to actually go through the game. really got me back into GW.

i agree with ArchAngel, most of my requests for help turn on deaf ears. and i believe that since the policy is that asking/saying more than twice is spamming, that doesnt help. but i try to not use hench. plus i dont got anything to give away, lol

If you are trying to start a guild activity like a mission, I would say that a couple announcements in alliance and guild chat are more acceptable than repeating other announcements. Just don't go overboard, like every 30seconds for 5 minutes. A few other things to keep in mind. When most people are in the game, they aren't standing around waiting for an invitation to do something in alliance/guild chat. Try announcing that I would like to do XX mission/quest in about 15min/half hour/9pm est. Also, don't forget to use the forums for stuff like this too, don't be afraid to start a new thread with a time, date and mission planned, if you use the forums, though, try to give at least a day or 2 notice and be aware of other things going on like PvP.

Please don't give up on asking in guild/alliance chat for other to do something. I know I need to work to find stuff like that myself. With our restructuring, it should bring a few people to turn alliance chat back on and hopefully bring us all closer together again.

Finally, don't forget about using Teamspeak. I know some people don't like to, but I find the most fun I have with guild groups is using the voice chat, even if we aren't grouped together.

I am old and set in my ways. My parents always taught me to say "please" when I wanted something and "thank you" if I got it.

"Thank you" has never been a problem when I help folks. The lack of saying "please" has prevented me from helping many when I could have.

Dialog usually goes something like this, "Who wants to help me with Naphui Quarter?" or "Who wants to give me 25 steel ingots?" Well I DON"T REALLY want to do either but I would have done both to help you out if you had just said "please".

Please and Thank You really are the magic words.

yeah... hmmm...good point, Halonic. I'm not much of a "please"-sayer, although I won't hold back on the thank-yous. guess I'm half-old fashioned. I'd usually ask "does anybody want to do the XX mission;" trying to hold on to my pride to not technically ask for help. lol.
Ideally, I'm looking for a person in the guild who needs to do that mission too. low chance, tho.

but, as for giving away, Halonic gave me some good stuff, as well as others in this guild. Wroth's Icon, Rune of Superior Absorption, cash for my 15k cuirass...
I could never charge a guildie something because of that, and whatever crap I have laying around in my inv, I'd give. overall value is still less than what I received... (probably since I'll break sometime and beg, with a "please," for some ecto and obs. shards once I truly realize how hard it will be to get them), but hey, any of you guildies need some cash or crafting materials(stocking up on those for any of you who needs stuff), I'll see what I can do. (posted a topic in the trade for weapon upgrades)
