O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

Officer SOE/LoE/Where's "here"?
Ok couple of Christmas Tree questions.
Real or artificial? Why? Who sets it up in your house/business/church?

Real...because our fake tree was too far gone when we got it out of the box and we had 35 people coming over the next day and buying a fake tree before Christmas is too expensive and we are rediscovering why we went fake in the first place and we'll be back to our fake tree next year.

My tree is 9 inches tall and made out of clear plastic beads with lights in the middle. So, I guess, that puts me on the fake side :D

Tie breaker here, we love real, would have real except for 2 big reasons. One is pets, dogs and cats both, they don't always mix well with real trees. Two they are more of a fire hazard, and if we ever had a tree fire I'm positive we would lose the whole house very quickly. So went to Lowes and replace our 8 year old fake tree with another pre-lit tree. Why Lowes? I get a veteran's discount at Lowes, and the trees, although more expensive, looked much better. We were going to deep six our old tree, but a family from church that has very little money and no tree wanted it, problem solved. Who puts it up? It is a team effort, and so far though up for 4 days it has only one decoration.

Edit: Oops Cowrocket beat me to it, so no tie breaker I guess.

Back to keeping it a tie.......real here because we always had fake and I wanted a real tree........we also have a very small "fake purple" tree we got last year for our little one.....she gets to decorate it just how she likes......this year I even found her some small battery powered lights.

I forgot to include that I put the tree up (this new one is easy peasy) and I let the kids decorate it (except for the collectable Star Trek ornaments when we put them on). I just get the top where they can't reach and put the star on.

I used to have some battery powered lights I would put in my Santa hat and wear at work, back in my retail days.

Real. Always real. Though I don't own my own home yet, so take it with a grain of salt. Nothing beats having that Christmas tree scent throughout the room and the hunt to find the perfect tree every year. Plus, after watching Mythbuster's Christmas episode, it's impossible for Christmas lights to light a tree on fire, save in an exposed wire/bad lights.
