Now reading

This is a play on [toj.cc]phantom's thread, "now playing." As the title suggests, share what you're reading.

I'm currently reading a few things.

1. Halo: Ghosts of Onyx
2. The Wheel of Time Series
3. The Magic of Recluse Series

Unfortunately, I don't read very much as, outside of work, I'm only awake for a few hours before I become the walking dead. Most of that is spent working on my own book.

We're doing a cultural literature assignment in my Instructional Design and Development class, so I have just picked up 10 children's and young adult books with Korean themes. I'll make sure to post details about any of the YA stuff y'all might find interesting. I won't be doing a whole lot of outside reading beyond assigned and project-related stuff this semester, but some other young adult books I've read recently include Deep Wizardry by Diane Duane (pretty good), Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg (fantastic!), Holes (very cool), Crow Girl (amazingly good) and the first Harry Potter book (no comment ;) ) As far as adult sci-fi literature I have recently finished Voice of the Whirlwind, which was quite good though a little soft on the ending.

I've picked The Hobbit back up for another read during my lunch breaks at work. It helps me to unwind.

I don't read as much as I used to due to lack of time, but I've found that Audio books are very nice, especially with my daily 30-45 min commute to work. Audible.com has a couple of subscription services that you can do. One is about $15/mo which gives you 1 book credit and the other is about $22/mo which gives you two book credits.

I got the listener's bible and my wife and I have been listening to that, as well as some other books.

Some of the latest that I've listened to are:

Christian Fiction:
Black, Red, White (Trilogy) - Ted Dekker
Three - Ted Dekker
Last Light & Night Light (books 1 & 2 of a trilogy) - Terri Blackstock

Secular Fiction:
Ender's Game (all books in both series) - Orson Scott Card
Eragon & Eldest - Christopher Paolini

Oh! I've just started re-reading the entire Ender series again. I've burned through all those I can't remember how many times now. Also "What To Expect When You're Expecting" because someone in this house needs to, and I'm all giddy about being a daddy.
