New to Minecraft Question

So I just bought the game and when I start it up now I get all this white text on my screen. It says things like...

How do I turn this off? Its really in the way.

Nope, that just brought up a bunch of white lines with a red background.

So it looks like its just stuck always on if I want to play the levels I have all my progress in.

If you exit to the main menu with the debug screen open, it will stay on the screen. Pressing F3 in the menu has no effect, so loading another level is required to be able to hide the debug screen.

That's what I get for buying a game still in Beta I guess.

I got it to go away.

I went to uninstall my mods and selected the restore from backups option. That set things back to normal for me.
