well i joined the washington state university ad club a few weeks back and they wanted to make a website so i volunteered to do it. so we got the hosting and website setup. i wanted to use joomla but it was too complicated and if i dont have time next year, it would be brutal for someone else to try and update it. so im using wordpress and i need feedback: http://wsuadclub.com

now if you few the website in IE6 , theres a huuuuuge gap for some odd reason and i cant figure it out.

IE6 has a whole LOT of issues regarding CSS styles.

You have three options:
1) Write a whole bunch of evil IE6 specific CSS
2) Ignore IE6 users
3) convert the layout to tables

nononono, do NOT use tables as the layout. I will personally hunt down and kill you with a dull knife.
whine and complain about how table layouts aren't css or aren't perfect according to the "standards"

But at the same time remember that they work. The same way. Every time. Across all browsers.

Kidan makes a valid point but i think i'll go with 2) because im lazy and hopefully M$ will force the world to use IE7

In the future you should try drupal. It is about the best thing since sliced bread in CMS. Joomla is flawed IMO, it doesn't theme well at all and the management is clunky even at the best of times.

IE6 vs IE7?

Your Home Page looks awesome in IE7 (a compliment).

Hmm, I agree with (2)...
I code pages to look good in IE7 and FireFox2.0, anyone
looking at my sites in anything else can go to the
complaint department or update their browser.
