My little interface

I got a pretty good interface that i am using now. Wanted to show it to see what y'all think.

These pictures are pretty much what it looks like except my buffs are in rows of three so they dont cover up the target of targets debuffs. The debuffs of the target of target are increased in size so i can see them clearly without strain.

Also if i am in a party they will show up where the raid is shown and the raid will be hidden.

I try to keep mine simple, too. However, I like to have a lot available so on a side bar I keep stuff like trade skills, food, flasks, quest items, mounts, etc. Then under my toon I place a bar of fighting stuff and pots. Included are macros. For my bars I use Macaroon, written by Maul, a member of The Forgiven on Terenus. It just seems to fit and do what I want better than the others.

Baldy turned me on to Pitbull and I really like that for unit frames. You can set it to show who is getting aggro as well as many other functions. Another mod handy for tanking is TauntMaster.

I like to keep my chat boxes on the left like nightelf1 and use the chat mod Prat.

For customizing and putting the mini-map where I want I use Chinchilla Minimap.

For healing, VuhDo seems to do what I want much lighter than anything else I have tried like HealBot.

I also like to use Quartz cast bars and Satrina Buff Frames rather than the default Blizz ones cause I can resize, reposition, etc what I need.

I use some simple pvp mods, especially when in Arena, and run Vanas KOS all the time when out running around, questing, gathering, etc. It does not always show nearby horde, but usually warns me when there is someone on the KOS list of guildies so if I am on a lowbie toon I know to avoid a known ganker.

I really like using FuBar and its different tools including a simple, light aggro alert, guild tracking, and so much more on one skinny bar across the top of my screen.

For DPS meters I went back to Recount because it ran so different than Skada. However, my meters do not exactly match others, I notice.

So, my screen ends up not looking as simple as I want. However, for different events I run different mods. For tanking it is one set, for arena another, for dps, and in a raid, another. I use Addon Control Panel, which shows up on my game menu bar - the one that pops up when I hit escape.

I dunno if this adds to nightelf1's post or not, but I like to see as much of the game screen rather than a bunch of mods, and maybe I will get there one day.

[edit] Oh yes - to manage all of my add-ons outside of game, keeping them current, finding a new ones, deleting those I do not want, I use the Curse Client. I do not run it all the time; I open it about once daily to check on updates, then shut it down. So far it has been very reliable for preventing downloading unwanted security threats - and I use it exclusively for mod control for that reason. I hope I am right. I run my firewall and internet security - not just an anti-virus program - 100% of the time. Also, I take advantage of the physical firewall of my router.
