I love snakes, i had 2 Red tail boas, they froze to death during the winter last year.

Taledin, nice snake! Unfortunately my babies (3 roborovski hamsters) would probably be considered snake FOOD.
I would by no means ever feed Alextriza a live rodent. I would cringe at the sound. And hamsters are awesome =D
Don't be so sure braveheart, I worked at The Ellijay Wildlife Rehabilitation Sanctuary and the events taking place there were often not to be spoken to the public. Not because what had happened was illegal but because there are only so many staff member (me alone except for weekends) and only so many hours in the day. So animals passed on often. But as often as this was happening new life was often soon to fallow.

Hhahah, i love watching them eat rats the size of footballs, we use to let them lose in the back yard (acre and a half field) and watch the snakes hunt them down.

Eh, snakes aren't evil. They're just misunderstood.
I used to catch garden snakes when I was a little girl, the green snakes and the black & white striped ones. I'd keep them for a week or so, then let them loose again. One day I caught a black snake about 7 feet long and maybe... 2-3 inches in diameter, but my parents wouldn't let me keep it.

From what I've heard the word from which the word snake is derived means "to glitter". Basically snakes used to be considered pretty creatures very long ago which is in keeping with the whole "Lucifer was the most beautiful of all the angels thing". So when you read of Lucifer turning himself into a snake it was an attractive thing to Eve.
Personally I don't see how people can find them cuddly at all. It's not warm to hold and does a snake play with anything? Of course I am a Gerbil so I am biased
(note that's a MIGHTY Gerbil I can pwn all snakes, house pets and children. I only have a slight problem with vacuum cleaners.

Snakes are not evil. saying snakes are evil is just like saying that we should all walk around nude and eat fruit, just like what we were suppose to do in THE GARDEN OF EDEN. not here. that one SERPENT was evil, not all snakes.

Nudity is nothing to be ashamed of. It is society that has blown it out of context and made it *evil*. That said you wont ever see me walking around nude in public.

I used to have a 6foot boa but when I got engaged I was faced with an ultimatum. Wife or snake. I'm fairly sure I made the right choice.
ps. letting a fiance' watch your snake eat a bunny rabbit is never for the win.

A friend of mine breeds retics, and I believe he has gotten his hands on a female albino tiger retic. He's big big big into all things herpeto-whateverthename is.
Three magic words that would keep everyone happy "Snake skin handbag". She gets a handbag you get to keep the snake (well most of it anyway)... and yes that was revenge for my bunny cousin. Hey wait! You never said which you kept!
