Mummified Dinosaur?

How could Dinosaur tissue survive for 67 million years, even being mummified?

Note: This would go great for my biology presentation on the Young Earth Theory

How could the mummified dino exist after 67M years? Well, this is kind of a link back to the other thread about Young Earth. STC mentioned Dr Dino - and although he has a lot of far-out ideas (and yes, I know he's in prison for tax evasion).... but he makes an interesting argument.

If you ask how they know when the dinosaur lived, the answer is that it's based on the sediment layer. If you ask how they date the sediment layer, it's by the fossils in it. Dates are estimated by a circular reasoning.

Carbon-dating has been proven inaccurate, as have the other means of dating based on degeneration of molecules. I don't think that we'll ever really know how long ago dinosaurs lived. At least, not until God tells us when we're in Heaven.

As far as how did the mummied dino last this long? Well, that's what mummies do. Pharaohs of Egypt that date back before Christ's time have been unearthed, preserved perfectly. If we can find stuff 2500 years old, why would "67M" be any different?

Ewoksrule brings about a good point - the Great Flood could also cause a pretty big shift in sediments, drowning or burying everything alive. It brings forth the question about why we don't' have more mummied dinos, that could be as simple as "we just haven't found them yet" or "not everything was buried in the mud as well".

my dad, who has a Ph.D in physics and in math (uugh, math AND a Ph.D) and is very very very science smart, and computer smart and a skeptic of God, says even he doesn't believe carbon dating. Anything relating to computers, math, science he has an awnser to. What I'm trying to get across is that my dad who can awnser any question realted to anything that could relate to science and the past says carbon dating is something he doesn't believe in. That's really saying something!

The oldest specimen for carbon dating is a tomb of a pharaoh iirc. That is still only about 6k back... So anything older then 6k years can't really be proven.

Or perhaps preserved by a worldwide rapid flood?

*gasps* of course! how could i have been so dumb!? this whole time i've been trying to find some way to back up my wacked out conspiracy's yet at the same time look as good as those Creationists when i could have just listened to them, wow! everything makes sense now -.-

that was me acting like a Evolutionist.
