Movie Time

That's ok I watched a fascinating history of Coca-Cola earlier with my better half, then spent time in game. Too sick to do much of anything.

A friend of mine is thinking about trying out to be a Princess at a Disney theme park. She was polling people as to their favorite.

I replied that Mulan could take all the rest of them on. At the same time. Blindfolded.

I don't find it too hard to disagree. Bat Girl or Cat Woman could take Mulan.

I go with Avengers as the best super hero movie...so far.

Avengers just rocked on so many levels. I like that each superhero received almost an equal amount of time onscreen. I just watched it again the other day. Come to think of it, I should buy it :)

I really liked Avengers, but I think I prefer superhero movies with fewer main characters. I was very impressed, though, by how well the otherwise trite plot of the squabbling team that has to pull together.

The final Batman movie stands out to me. The sense of despair and then hope was amazing. I resisted seeing the second one for a long time, because the Joker seemed so intensely... real... for lack of a better word. I finally did see it, and am glad I did, because for all its darkness it was a necessary precursor to the final movie.

And, of course, there's the Incredibles, which I watch once a year or so. It's brilliant.

Finally, Mystery Men. There's some off-color humor moments, but for the most part the comedy is wonderfully odd and well done. Oh, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which also has some questionable elements, but a lot of brilliance as well.

Watching X-MEN The Last Stand now lol

Better to watch Avengers a second time.

I read the entire line of XMen comics from the beginning while I was doing summer work during college, so I was really looking forward to the Phoenix storyline. I got chills when the Phoenix appeared in the water at the end of the second XMen movie.

Then for the entire movie Jean Grey stands around doing nothing but looking scary while the director seemingly delights in killing off half of the characters. I have no idea what they were thinking while they were making that movie.
