Salt? Sand? Sun?....sounds like the beach
As for wearing a skirt....
In high school I attend the Catholic school downtown. The uniform involved dark green dress pants for boys and dark green skirts for girls. Now, being that there is limited space downtown so the school was broken into two buildings about a block apart and we had to walk between them for classes. Now it's very hot in Charleston. They say it's just the humidity, but that a lie we're supposed to tell tourists. It's HOT. We're I'm going with all this is that when someone brought up the idea of girls being able to wear pants, I didn't hesitate in take the side of "can the boys wear kilts?"
Now, it didn't come to that, but I'm pretty sure I'd have no problem with a skirt......i'd just wear shorts underneath.
