Memorial Day 2014

Officer SOE/LoE/Where's "here"?
Have a thoughtful Memorial Day. Add a little praise and prayer to your celebrations. Maybe take a short trip out to the cemetery, a national or state would be even better, and find all of the service people there. Some gave all, all gave some, so that you could have the freedoms you do have. Picnics and celebrations are nice, but don't forget what Memorial Day is all about.

Amen! Our culture has become so self-absorbed that this day which should be a memorial to the service men and women who gave their all for our freedom has turned into "the unofficial beginning of Summer" and an excuse to drink too much.

Just like the Father gave his Son to give us freedom from sin, many fathers have given their sons/daughters to give us freedom as a country. Big salute to out Armed Forces and the sacrifices they have made.

I remember friends and classmates that I have served with who have been lost to war and training accidents.
