Melandru Dervish PvE Build

Hello folks!

I've recently been playing a Dervish, and I really enjoy the character. I thought I'd share the basic build I'm using which is a shameless knockoff of a PvX build.

This build is great for PvE esp. in areas where there are a lot of conditions.

SKILLS
Here are the skills I use:

You can substitute as you like, if you want to go in a more support role, try taking Draw Conditions, works really well with this build. Additionally, if you don't have GWEN (can't get dwarf skill w/out it) then another armor buff like Conviction will work for you.

ARMOR & ATTRIBUTES
And here's the armor/attributes setup I use, any max armor will do:

WEAPONS & MISC INFO
I use a sundering scythe of fortitude. A better option would be a scythe w/ +5 energy. I don't care for an enchant improvement mod on this because the duration times on the enchants you want on are already fairly long and recharge quickly and the eternal aura enchant you WANT to end quickly to recharge melandru's instantly.

GAME PLAY
The first thing you have to learn as a Dervish is to let your enchants run out to get the health and energy bonus from them. With this build, you should be maintaining 3 to 4 of your own enchants pretty much all the time which gives you an armor rating of 85 (except on your feet) plus the additional 20+ armor bonus from Conviction or the Dwarf armor enchant. This makes you a decent tank esp. when combined w/ monk prot spells and the health boost from Melandrus.

Eternal Aura is key to this build as you use it to instantly recharge your Avatar spell. I typically cast Melandru's and then run in to agro the enemy and cast Eternal Aura to do some nice AoE damage and recharge Melandru's. I don't cast it again until I cast Melandru's again.

I like to spam victorious sweep as it is a nice heal/dmg combo (can heal for up to 210 health w/ one swing on 3 enemies) and you can sub farmers scythe w/ any attack skill you want. Keep your armor buff up (recast RIGHT AFTER it runs out) as well as vital boon and zealous renewal.

That's it, pretty simple, hope you like it. I find it is a fun build to play.
