With Tribe of Judah's 12th anniversary celebration starting Wednesday, May 18, I'd like to hear from ToJ members about your favorite experiences in ToJ so far. Share a few sentences, write a wall of text, or post something in between--let's hear about your best times in ToJ!

I know this is going to sound cheesy, but many of the things I remember have to do with your leadership style. I really like how you're mostly hands-off, and that you trust your appointed chapter leaders and God to carry things out. Most leaders are not like that, and feel that their input is needed all the time. I also respect your humility in making decisions; you truly rely on others around you to make the right decisions, and you are willing to put other people before yourself in that regard.

As far as memories, I remember when I first met Citgrad, Goodwone, and their son, in WoW. They were questing in Redridge Mountains and I caught them in town. They were brand-new members to Redeemed at the time, back even before BC came out, and I remember just spending time with them and talking and getting to know them. Meeting new people was always a really tremendous experience for me, especially in a game like WoW, where part of your time invested in the game is getting to know people and questing with them.

Why thank you, sir!

Though, in all fairness, a largely "hands off" leadership style always seemed to me the only logical approach to ToJ as there just isn't enough time in the day to micro-manage. :)

My most memorable moments would have to be the FPS competition teams. Being one of the longer/est member currently active in ToJ I still hold very fond memories of the Counter-Strike chapter and the CS scrim teams. Back then our CS server was very... very popular and because of that many admins were needed for the griefing. I'm pleased to see that (IMO) the griefing has calmed down a lot since then.

As for the scrim/competition teams, I've always loved spending time before each match to thank God for giving us the opportunity to shine our light in this dark world of gaming. Plus, it was always fun to show that Christian gamers aren't push-overs. :p

I'd have to say that during my long tenure here, I have enjoyed many aspects of the community so much that it makes it hard to pinpoint things. From the good ole' Starcraft days on the BNET designed by 6 year olds (it was THAT bad), to our Dark Age of Camelot startup (that's where Fjorboug originated), to the CounterStrike server and competition teams (miss you Goose), to the original TeamFortress chapter (spy grenade spam at spawn FTW), to the best World of Warcraft group ever (props to Bowser!), to the new TeamFortress 2 (KNUCKLE SANDWICH FTW!), to our Left 4 Dead 2 crew (singing while eating people rules!), to our Starcraft 2 chapter (OP terran = not so happy Elihu), to our League of Legends group (what's black & blue and going to show you the definition of pain?).

The people of this community are what make the difference. My games would not be so near as complete without the social interaction with the people here that i play with. Week in and week out I feel closer and strengthened to be with each of you. God has brought a unique design to our community and I believe it changes us, helps mold us to be better people as a result.

Ughh, Goose...

I hated his wall-shooting. Never the less, an exploit of CS 1.6.

Just notice was gonna say the negative stuff.

Bravo, Tek7.

Could be the only Christian clan to be active for over a decade. ;)

And I can agree. I've been a member of CGA for eight years.

I WAS TWENTY ONE! Soon, I'm gonna be TWENTY NINE!

Well let me see. I have been a member for just over 2 years now. This was the first real Christian gaming community I have been apart of. I started with my friends in The Forgiven. As far as the ToJ goes. I have some pretty awesome memories of the LFD2 ROLFSTOMPS and some crazy TF2 nights. I have recently started playing LoL and enjoying that as well! This is the best community of Christian gamers I have ever seen. God has blessed me to call the CGA my virtual home and to call you all my friends. Here is to another 12 years, if the Lord waits that long!

Thanks for all the great posts, guys!

The 12th anniversary celebration ended on May 24, but feel free to continue to add to this thread!

My best memories were certainly the LAN parties that the Nor Cal group would throw for WoW. The one where Osyris, Miri, and Camma came out for was epic. BBQs at Icthus home was nectar.

Christ is the solid Rock, and is always there when we need Him. While, shamefully, I have not been as active a member as I should have been, you guys have always been here through me all these years. I've moved through several states and gone through several relationships, and despite that, you guys are always here.

If I remember correctly, Unreal led to Unreal Tournament led to a desire for multiplayer which led me to Everquest to the Force of Light which moves to Dark Ages of Camelot where I found Knights of the Trinity. It was around that time I found you guys, and my heart has been with you ever since.

The leadership has been heavenly, the members have been truly a blessing, and the groups I've found along the way have from here have always given me the strength and encouragement to continue.

So I share a music video that I made for one such group that best describes it. I once was lost, but now am found, was lonely, but now I fellowship!

Thank you Tek for so many years of awesomeness, even if I'm a bit late to chime in.
