Mea Culpa, Lord Valthalak

After months of grinding and instance runs, I'm finally at the last step of the tier .5 quest chain which involves taking out the biggest baddest 10-man raid boss in Azeroth: Valthalak.

I'm looking for a few good men/women to fight our way into the beasts chamber in UBRS where Val will be summoned. The fight won't be easy and some may fall but I believe I've collected enough information for a winning strategy.

He drops some nice blue items which may interest many of you so you won't be going for nothing.

Please let me know if you are interested so we can arrange a time to do this.

Once I get this done, my obsession over this quest chain will be over and I'll finally be able to raid with all of you.
 
Please count Beriale in as your mage on demand! Name the time and place. All I ask is that you take into account my work times (M-F 6am-5pm EST) Any other time I will be there.
 
Thanks for volunteering Beriale. Looks like we have the same working hours except I normally can't log on till 9PM EST. Guess we can run it on a non-guild raid day.

Btw, is anyone else up to or close to this point? Would be nice if a couple of us can finish this chain together.

And yes, it's a very awesome staff. I'll pass on the roll since all I really need is Valthalak dead. :D
 
Laraptor and I are usually up to an insta run, if you see either of us on when you are ready give us a tell:)
 
i might go if im on...i did UBRS to Rend the other day for some guys quest in our guild, and although we screwed around we never wiped, and we have 6 people up to Rend almost lol.
 
Thanks for all the replies. I'm sure with all of your help we should be able to take him down. A pickup group to ubrs was nice enough to attempt it with me. We took Valthalak down to 90% and then things went downhill when the tank lost aggro. Val charged into the other nine of us who were attacking from ranged, killing 3 ppl instantly with 7800dmg chain lightning. As long as the MT is able to hold aggro we should be ok.
 
Hope that didn't scare you guys away. It's not as bad as it sounds. The damage doubles each time it chains but starts at around 600 but maxes at 7000-8000. Everyone will be fine as long as the tank keeps Val away from the rest of the group.
 
Wanted to thank all those who attempted to kill Valthalak with me today. On our best attempt we got him down to 65%. With a few hunters I think we could have done it. Not sure who's up for it again. It was extremely difficult. Totally a strategy fight. Hopefully I'll see that guy dead some day...

Perhaps it's a bit too challenging for just tier .5 stuff although once he goes down it's instant purple gear x2! I'd rather not put you guys through the pain again so I'm trying to put together a group myself. Here's the link to the thread on the official forums. We got 8 so far, a couple of whom need to complete it as well. Feel free to join us. With enough determination this bad boy will go down.
 
Meme I dont like to loose. After last night of getting our butts kicked repeatedly I really want to see him dead. Please just give a tell to Reco / Paster if Im around and you need me.
