Ok so in the end Neo has powers in the real world, But did anyone relize that the "Real World" is not real but a second layer of the matrix? Zion is a second layer used to hold the minds of those who break from the first matrix...

They said they have destroyed it and restarted 6 times before and that the one is nothing but a anomoly an error. If this is true then what is the real real world like? Perhaps it is a lush garden and the machines just kept us enslaved to keep it that way.

Lastly if youve read anything about the Matrix MMORPG then you know that it takes place after Revolutions but it takes place in the matrix and there are still Agents so obviously we either fail or still trying at the end of Revolutions to defeat the machines.
 
I was thinking that maybe the Real world changed when Neo went out the other door. Because he said "Something's different"
 
I believe the brothers said somewhere in an interview or some such that it was not a matrix in the matrix sort of thing.
So exo...If I'm right keep thinking
 
I have been thinking in my head and reread the architect part someone posted online, and I see one of two possibilities.

1. There is a second layer of the matrix used to control those who break out thats why neo must pick 23 people and why there are 23 people on the current zion council, Remember the old guys speech how we can not live without the machines but have to live together? So either he picks these people and they set up a new zion in the real world or in a second layer of the matrix but i dont understand why they would cooperate unless they were inside a matrix.

2. The arcitect says this "You have many questions and though the process has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably human" meaning he may have changed somehow, also when in the real world he says something feels diffrent that he can feel the machines. So perhaps he is on another step of Oneism... and now he has powers in the real world and that is why he has abilities in the Real world. But that raises another question how did Smith get out, I dont see that happening unless there are two layers but i could be wrong.

I dont realy like either of these outcomes so hopefully they will have something completely unique. Thats enof ranting on a movie gotta go pick up my Cap and Gown at school.
 
How did Smith get out?

It's simple, while in the MAtrix, what is shown is your digital self. Well Smith, basically acted as a Virus and corrupted that guy's digital self, rewriting the 'software' of his personality.
 
That sounds realy goofy so since there are lots of Smiths he is gonna take over everyone and rule Zion!

Also if Neo becomes superman in the real world im gonna be upset perhaps limited control of robots/machines but please no super powers in the real world.
 
No, it was Smith. Remember, that's the real-world person that Smith shoved his hand into, an then stuck the phone to his ear.
 
Neo's "real-world" is NOT the real world. It's the box-within-a-box phenomenon. How do I know?

1. Matrix-world was filmed with a green filter. "real"-world was filmed with a blue filter (note the blue tint). Why the use of filters? There must be something more symbolic.

2. Neo's powers. They work. Therefore, the world cannot be real. Also, the Architect's knowledge of the "real" world is disturbing. 6 times? That means that the 'real'-world may be a 'matrix' for the machines. Maybe the machines have experienced something like what Man experienced. Who knows?
 
Some of these ideas are pretty interesting. I have a question, did it appear to anyone else that the only old people in zion were the council members?
 
they even made mention of that fact in the movie. Now the real question is this. Were the council members part of the problem? i.e. were they the people that the previous one had picked to start as the 'core' of Zion and as such were they actually working for the machines?
 
If you think about it, how could anyone escape from the Matrix? Maybe what they think they know about "freeing minds" is nothing more than, say, creating another instance of a variable or class in programming. As long as you've got enough memory, there's no limit to the number of different spaces in memory that you can contain something.

That's an interesting idea about the green and blue filters. I noticed the green one, of course (though you get used to it watching the movie), but I never really noticed that the second layer had a blue filter.
 
Green is the easiest colour for the human eye to pick up.
Blue is harder (comparatively). If you look at the discussion between the old dude and Neo, you will see a bluish tint.
 
So, let's think of this...

The one, in the first instance, was a man who found that he was able to change things, freed himself from the Matrix, and began freeing others. Thus, Zion was formed. Later on, he dies, and the Oracle has a prophecy that he will return. He returns as Neo, fights the machines, frees more minds, etc...

Now let's suppose that because of what we're observing now, there is really another "container" Matrix that he's in. He alone will be able to break out of it, into the "real world." He'll still be able to change anything. Beleiving that he's now found the real world, he begins freeing people. Then he'll die, and a lying machine will prohpecy his return. At which point, he will return once more...

It's an unbreakable cycle. And since it's the same man coming back each time, that leads to the theory that...Neo himself is a machine.

neo is an somethinganother, and hes the 6th one to happen, these somthinganothers when they meet the arcitect choose 6 people to be let out to rebuild zion after the sentinals come and blow it up, because the humans suck... plus they are way the heck down below the earths crust..main lvl...uh, see theres the real world, which is the top, theres all the machines up there, then theres the brodcast lvl, where zions ships go and load into the matrix, then below that theres zion
and the blue filter is just ur contacts silly ;)

Here's what I think, some of it is the same as has been written here, other bits are new. See what you think.

1. I believe that the Matrix encompasses both Zion AND what Neo, Morpheus et al refer to as The Real World. Zion is simply a construct where the "rebels" are allowed to go to carry on an illusion of rebelling and fighting their war.

2. There have been something like 5 previous incarnations of the Matrix. Each of them was internally more stable than the previous, but was more likely to be rejected by the client systems (humans). In order to reiterate the matrix, the city of Zion was created to house problem cases, and the idea of The One was created to provide a symbolic figurehead for the humans.

3. Each previous incarnation of The One succeeded in their mission to reach The Source, and then opted for the destruction and reseeding of Zion. Somehow this fact was never placed in The Prophecy, for the next The One to learn from. Sufficient time is left between iterations that two "The Ones" never meet in person, only be reputation.

4. Neo is the first ever The One to choose war and possible genocide over compliance and a continuance of the cycle. To paraphrase the Merovingian, the WHY is ultimate power, and Neo is the first ever The One to possess this power.

5. Neo now seems to have limited powers whilst in the "Real World". Matrix power relies on confidence, which would explain why nobody else can do these things - they're impossible in the real world. Neo, however, has seen a lot of funky things - perhaps he is becoming perceptive enough to directly affect the "Real World" - by breaking its encryption and interfacing with it as he does the Matrix. This is the reason why Trinity could bring him back and how he brought HER back. Occams razor doubts that he has somehow become "magic" in some way.

I realy dont like the idea of having superman powers in the real world, id rather see it be a Box in a box plot but that is dumb too.

I had the archtect thing written out in a wordpad but apparently i deleted it, in it he says that Neo has changed but is still human so im guessing he is not a program like some have suggested. He may be impllying that he now has control over machines in the real world but im leaning towrd the Matrix in a Matrix idea, guess we will find out in a few months.
 
How many of you stayed and watched the trailer for Revolutions (due out in November) after the closing credits? It sort of explains sometihng that was missed. Neo must destroy Smith to destroy the Matrix. Or sometihng to that effect. If you plan on seeing it again, please stay after and watch it. Its pretty cool =)
