Actually, the Love and Respect book helped my mother and I patch up some of the major "abrasion points" in our relationship. I'd say it's more than just a 'marriage book' it's really a 'inter-gender relations' book. :)
 
Hey that love and respect thing is right on. Hard to love someone that does not respect you.

Probably goes the other way as well for women. Hard to respect someone that does not love you.

I know I showed this to my wife (before she took off and left me with Luke) she was so supprised by this 'finding' she told it to a friend. But all guys know its common sense. Cant really love someone who doesnt respect you, you can fake it, but its shallow. Anyways thanks for bringing this up Rhys, family relationships always go before WOW.

Gotta start going to those Christian single retreats. I know it worked very well for me! :D

... Then again I only had to go to one and I met my wife... so my experience may not exactly be typical.
 
In my case, when I was still living in California, I went to Mount Herman.

I believe there are other Christian retreat locations across the US and Canada that do similar things.
