Mages need to do more damage?

Avossa's fireball hits (not crits) me for 1828 and 1938 damage. Whats up with that?
 
Avossa has both Trinkets TOEP and the Zaldar Hero Trinket, and Arcane Power. I would say less then 5% of mages have these two trinkets and they only last fifteen seconds every three minutes. I've wooped up Avossa easily, just Counter spell once you see her hit her one button activation and you see the anniomation then keep her sheeped/feared/stunned for fifteen seconds and she is easy.

Edit: It's the items rather then the character that is overpowered here. I've seen a video with a shaman who would Chain lightning and the first hit would do upwards of 3k damage and the second around 2k. Warlocks use to do 5k damage with the vulnerability bonus, now only upwards of 4. With these +damage items even a priest can hit pretty hard.

With damage like that, even 15 seconds every 3 minutes = 3 or 4 gauranteed kills. I have well over +200 damage on my PvP gear and the best Crits (never mind hits) are slightly over 1000, yesterday it was 1069. My average crit is 850 my average hit is 600 and my only crowd control (fear) might as well not exist, 30 second cool down breakable 10 ways from Satuday. I don't hit hard at all, certainly not 3600+ in two hits, nevermind 4 crits. I have no idea what ToEP and Zandar hero trinket or Arcane power is.
 
You may have +200 damage but those two trinkets alone add 455 damage, you with +755 damage would hit for a ton of damage. Also most classes have the ability to make there crits do 200% damage where as fire is only 150% so if that second one crit it would have only been for 2907 damage (plus ignite that would get dispelled), which is still lower then the most damage I've had a warlock do to me.

You complain that your bigest crits are for around 1000, but you don't count your dots, your healing ability and fear that can be keep me incapacitated while you continue to kill. A perfectly played Shadow Priest is pretty impossible for a mage to kill.

Whats the use of being a mage if every class (even healers) can out damage you, we lack the ability to heal, a single dot that isn't removed will kill us since we can't leave combat. If anything these trinkets should be nerfed a bit and the base damage of the Mage class should be increased.

I agree with melko. If you remember me dueling you avesther, how far down did i get you... not even 3/4 way. You have a ton of HP to dig through and on top of that you fear and heal (and an optional silence). I have better luck with shamans than i do with priests. My highest crit was on a level 51 tar mob in un goro with fire vulnerability, 2195 i think. Other than that its around 1400. Mages really dont do that much damage if you think about it.
 
This thread was really a, where there is a will, there is a way, post. Personally, I'm really tired of everybody in the priest forums complaining about this or that. So I set out to show that it can be done. So I have a ton of HP to eat thru, I have an armor rating equal to hunters and shaman, I have a decent amount of spell power. Everything that a priest shouldn't be able to get.

The only thing I don't like is how Blizzard cripples casters with a fatigue factor and then take away our only stat that combats fatigue so we can have survivability. All this while melee don't have to deal with fatigue and keep getting better items with the stats that help them hit everybody else harder. And then they have the audacity to call it an even playing feild.

GIVE CASTERS BACK THIER PVE MANA POOLS IN PVP

Props to you Cory for finding a way. Of course you had to run ever instance a billion times and invest untold hours to get where you are. There is nothing wrong with that. But, I do not have you skill level or time commitment. I want my priest to be enjoyable without having to run BAron or DM 20 times.

I also agree with the complaining. Every class, including priest, want to be able to defeat anyone, anytime, and be invincble. This is something that should not be possible. I will admit it is possible in WoW, just roll a shaman.
