finally got my Guardian to LV50 thanks to training in Bloodtide Coast.

First thing i did was open the waypoint for twilight Arbor lol

Now that im LV50 i have to find a good place to train so i can press towards the LV80 mark

any suggestions?
 
Zone completion mate. At about level 30 I realized that zone completion was the way to go, so I picked the zones with the lowest level range and progressively worked from there. Finally hit Orr this last week and completed Cursed Shore tonight. I think I hit level 80 and still had 5 or so zones to complete before I finished the map.

Of course you can always level up by crafting or story line. But I found zone completion to be more fun. Plus you get good bonus XP in some of the remote maps and the zone completion XP reward is substantial.
 
Lots, and lots of events in southern half of Dredgehaunt, demanding but doable.
 
Agree zone completion is a great way to level as well as a lot of fun. I got to level 80 with my engineer this week. Mainly did a storyline quest, went and cleared a zone (or two) then went and did another storyline quest (sometimes more if it was an interesting arc). Occasionaly I'd through in a little WvW but generally I suck at it. I also found completing the daily's was quick and netted some nice xp (as well as LOTS of Karma). But mainly just playing as you want seems the way forward- unless you're in a desperate rush to hit Orr and start farming there's no need to run to max level. I mainly wanted to get to 80 so there was no area I couldn't help out in. Now I'm trying to have fun with a mesmer. Good luck and see you in game soon :)
 
One of the things I like about doing zone completion is that you can kind of adjust the difficulty as needed, rather than just following the story line. It's kinda nice to do events in lower level zones so that you can confidently solo veterans or even champions, when there aren't a lot of other people around.

I've been kinda finding a groove where the content is challenging but I'm not dying a lot, and also letting crafting materials guide me on where to go next.

Makes for more variety, too. Sick of the Sons of Svanir? Choose a Charr area for a while and fight Blood Legion and "seperatists". Tired of those? Hit the swamps for Nightmare Court and Inquest foes.

Absolutely - zone completion - most fun and most benefits - plus a sense of accomplishment.
 
Doing zones I am very, very, VERYi slowly getting better at Vistas. I can wade into a mob of critters up to lvl 60 and come out alive, but vistas just plain whip me.
 
lately i have been event farming

9 events in Wayfairer Foothills
and
6? in the hinterlands

in the last 3 days i got my thief from lv36 to lv43 (hope to hit lv45 by tonights WvW guild event)
after that i really need to capture 10 skill points to unlock Dagger Storm for PVE & WvW survivability lol
 
As far as zone completion goes, I'm definitely enjoying Thief's ability to waltz into those "commune" skill points guarded by champions and stealth cap them.

On my previous two characters, there was either a lot of dying, or a lot of recruiting people in zone chat to come fight the big bad.

You are definitely improving a lot with Vistas. Last night you completed one of the hardest Vistas in Caledon Forest on the first try. It took me about 10-20 tries when i first found that one.

You're a lot like me. It took me about a month or 2 to get comfortable with the jumps. I'm still very slow compared to the jumping beans in the guild, but I'm now able to complete most vistas and jumping puzzles if I keep at it. The ones that i struggle with are the ones where you're constantly being attacked while trying to jump/climb.
