Looking for an MMO home :)

Okay, so I can't decide...what else is new for me. Anyways...I am looking for a GOOD SOLID MMO that has depth, varity of class builds, good crafting implementation, and has a good quest line with it. I am not out to power level or even level fast, because I am very casual in play. But I am looking for a good MMO that will be around for a LONG while. :) Something I can stick with and not jump away from in say a year or so, but instead, stick with it and maintain the course, and enjoy ALL the game has to offer. Honestly, WoW keeps coming to my mind, but EQ2 also comes to mind, and Aion...SO I DON"T KNOW...HELP! :)

The only one I've actually tried is WoW, and it fits at least some of your specifications. In WoW you may have some difficulty experiencing all the content as a casual player, though. If you want to try again in a year or so, Star Wars: The Old Republic should also be a pretty good game. The scheduled release for it isn't until next spring, but we already have a chapter getting started for it. I'll be leading our Sith Empire guild when that game comes out, so you can feel free to ask me about it if you like.

yeah...that is what I was thinking, but Aion when I played the trial at release looked pretty interesting I just didn't have time at the moment to play very much, but now my schedule is different and I am looking for a good strong MMO with a good game aspect to it. :)

Lord of the Rings Online has all of that. O.o It's a pretty deep system, and the story is epic. Crafting out the wazoo and endgame you can even craft and name your own "epic" weapon. There's a free trial also. :p

If you roll, I recommend Landroval server (it's a role-playing one, but it has very helpful folks) and seeing about joining the Band of Hope kinship, great Christian fellowship. :)

I'm in the same boat with this fella :)

I am thinking of starting WoW and playing about a half hour a day.... thats casual.... thats waaaaaaaaaay casual...

Therefore, I would also love some suggestions :)

What about Warhammer Online? RVR is fun, you can pop on for 25 minutes and help take some Objectives/Keeps, and the classes are unique and enjoyable.

Crafting is rather weak (potions or talismans atm) but the story is good and there's TONS to read in the Tome of Knowledge, plenty of back story of why wolves are where they're at, or why a coast is being invaded. Has a nice dose of humor too. :p

Tried to go back to LOTRO, it still wasn't wow...so I think I am going back to WoW. :) Thanks guys!! Also I am going to keep my eye on the SW MMO...not sure if my system(s) specs will meet the standards for the games but we will see. :)

Yeah I did Josh, got 10 days free to check it out first. Slayer is incredibly fun! :D

According to the TOR website, they are trying to make it compatible with most PCs. I'm sure that it will look pretty good on higher settings, but they aren't trying to make it primarily for high-end PCs. I would think you will be fine if your computer can handle WoW.
