Hey, I don't know if you all heard, but Riathamus & Zorigon were "liquidated" yesterday.

That means that someone hacked the account and sold/disenchanted everything and stole all his gold.

That sucks.

Liquidation == Bad. But Community == Good.

I'm calling (on a volunteer basis) for those of us who can do something to buy/build new gear for these characters to do so.

I know, it's easy for me to call on the blacksmiths and tailors to make free items for these toons, seeing as I don't have a blacksmith or a tailor.

Consequently I have chosen to give free-of-charge transmutes to the reconstruction process... and if someone is making an item for either of these two, give me a shout when I'm in-game and if necessary I'll join you in farming for some of the mats (if that's possible).

This is a voluntary initiative and by no means something that is required of you. I would personally encourage you to get involved, however, because of the strength that it will add to our Community.

Slight correction for those that didn't catch it... it was Riathamus that got cleaned out, not Gilid. Stop sending Gilid all your loot :)

Just a little update - I checked with Riathamus a few minutes ago - the GMs have restored all of his belongings. He added at the end of our conversation that he was pleased with the response he received. Yay for Blizz doing what's right.
 
wow, that is wonderful. I hope no one here has to feel that violated and having to experience what Raithamus went through. Glad to hear he is back up and running.
 
I think we need to give praise to God, who apparently even cares about little things like video game characters.

Restoring one's belongings is not a typical GM response --- thank you God for caring and for moving the heart of the GM!!

just send me the stuff ill sell it on the AH :D (if gilid ever gets wiped out its gona be because i have a high interest rate and hes behind on his mount payments! ((i paid for both of his mounts)))
