Israeli prisoner Ramil Razilo was removing rubble from the planned site of a new prison ward when his shovel uncovered the edge of an elaborate mosaic, unveiling what Israeli archaeologists said Sunday may be the Holy Land's oldest church.

The discovery of the church in the northern Israeli town of Megiddo (search), near the biblical Armageddon (search), was hailed by experts as an important discovery that could reveal details about the development of the early church in the region.

It is getting closer!! Can you feel it?

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Luke 21:28

And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Revelation 16:16

I like this article, they put a bit about Biblical history:

I am disappointed to find that there is this AP article and not anything more on sites like prophesy update. I think this is a very interesting place for a church to be found and wonder if/when/where/how it relates to the Bible and end times. It really whets my appetite to have more understandign of prophesy. I know Armageddon is the final battlefield before the LORDs return. I never knew that this was also possibly the site of one of the first New Testament churches and I have never really questioned why that battle will occur. I think at the very least, this may get some to think on the end times...it does me! This is a very interesting age to live in and wonder daily if prophesy is being set in motion and being fulfilled!

For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Hebrews 10:37

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:20

That's absolutely smashing!

I'm not sure about hopping on the Endtimes bandwagon just yet though. The "Endtimes" have been here for centuries, and some would argue, since the ascension of Jesus.

Is it possible to do be so desensitized to proclamations of "The end is nigh!!!" that we begin to loose faith in the actual end?
