LavaLamp Emergency

Hey,all...I woke up this morning and was exiting my room,when I caused my lava lamp to fall. (I have carpet flooring in my room) The base fell as well. I set it back on the base,but now the light won't turn on... The glass globe thing isn't messed up at all,but I need the light to turn on! Im a very careful person,but in the mornings im usually very groggy. Any ideas?
 
Indeed. I assume, since it utilizes the heat produced, that the lamp uses an incandescent bulb. Those bulbs are a bit susceptible to any kind of trauma.
