You guys have probably seen this site, if not, it will absorb hours of your time(well it did for me, so fair warning if you don't have time to waste) www.johntitor.com I think even if you don't believe in time travel, you can learn from what he wrote because he's a great writter. probably the best site Ive seen that doesn't have flashy gimmics. (sp?) What do you think?

Naw that was ph47, Kind a scary :P But I enjoyed it

But if you are to belive Einstains theori about time beeing relative and, that you slow time down by going faster then time it gets harder, the problem with it then is: would anyone know because you can't go forth in time again.

I think the reason he refered to himself from 2036 is so well know it was a scam, or perhaps I may be wrong...

Heh, I discovered Mr. Titor about a year ago, I think, whilst browsing for a topic totally unrelated, about John the Baptist, methinks....

Anyways, yea, if you read through it, it /will/ take up a LOT of your time.

He also states that he's a Christian. And that in his time, they go to church on the truth Sabbath, Saturday.

Or actually, I'm looking for something closer....Like the upcoming olympics. That'll be proof enough to prove/disprove what appears to either be a lunatic or a time traveler.

Quote[/b] ]UNIX has a problem in 2038.

Thats something I know about already (at least I think thats it), it's like the Y2K bug for UNIX, the date will reset or something like that. Brilliant writer, had all holes in his story covered till that one, we know about that UNIX problem already.

heh, I don't believe in time travel, I thought about it and decided time is relative before hearing anyone elses take on it. I think it would be cool if the future was like he said, with no govornment. Lots of people reading books, and a real sense of community w/o emphasis on television or computers. of course I'm a huge computer nerd so it would take the Russians to nuke us before I started living that way. In late 2005 he said a civil war would start, so I guess we'll see what happens. Maybe if Arnold runs for president and wins I can see that happening. I didn't read the part about him being a christian, its interesting stuff.

He could be a lot of things...lunatic he ain't. Just read all his posts, even if the guy was lying, he was still brilliant. His entire story, including postings over 3 years, chat logs, etc. does not contradict itself (at least in any obvious way).

Que - Yes, most anyone who has messed with Unix before knows of this notorious bug, BUT he also mentioned that he didn't specify WHAT the problem/bug caused to happen.

Other thing is that he also implied that HE is the reason that Y2K didn't have such the large impact that it was advertised by the liberal media to have (or maybe they were just wrong, like always! ::Cough::)

Anyways, yea.

In Christ,
Van
