Jesus Christ as Author

SIGH.

Byblos, there is subtle difference here, which I'm not sure you understand.

I do not actively believe there isn't a God. I don't believe because there is no REASON for me to believe. There is no proof, no evidence to warrant a belief in God.

I am not spitting in the face of some evidence. I am not actively turning my back on some proof.

I hope you can see the difference.

You're putting the cart before the horse.

WHY do I not believe in a God?

I've already given you that answer.

Because I see no proof.

I do not see any proof because I believe there isn't a God.

I can't believe in something I have no proof for.

Therefore, I can't believe in a God without proof. I WOULD believe in God if there were proof.

Subtlety my dear Byblos.

How is it random?

I can't believe in something if there is no proof for it.

I'm not worried about trying to DISPROVE something. I'd concerned with proving the EXISTENCE of it.

Sorry to break it to you, but I don't believe in the existence of the Loch Ness monster or sasquatches either. There isn't adequate proof to warrant a belief.

There is no proof against the existence of the Almighty Invisible Pink Unicorn, does that mean you believe in it?

My belief system is not random.

Its random because you have equal proof either way. 0.

God's existance is disproved to you by lack of proof...

I dont belive in that insanity either... but if a sasquatch came to me and talked to me I would belive in it.

THe almight pink unicorn hasnt came to me sorry.

What makes you think I don't?

I welcome it.

I desired it for a long time and nothing happened.

I did everything right.

Please, whatever you do, don't turn around and blame it on something I did or didn't do. You don't know what I've done to get this point.

Edit: Not that this thread explosion has not been interesting, but......
Nothing

The topic at hand seemed to have stalled anyway.

Shall we get back to the topic?

Quote[/b] ]You don't honestly believe that do you? Christ walked amongst us for one purpose only? To die? Why not just die in the crib then? Why did Christ teach and preach then if he was nothing more than a chunk of meat to be sacrificed?

The question we have asked here is valid. Why did Christ not pen a single, solitary story? One parable? One LINE of text?

Yes I do believe that. He came as our redeemer. He did not come as an author. God used man to write the Bible not God (the Son). And It is the inerrant Word of God

No i believe Christ came to instruct and teach, and also to die.

He came to instruct and teach us the new covanent. Also to teachs us that it is not the letter of the law, rather the heart of the man God looks at. Case in point, the religous leaders of the Jews, followed the law to a T, but did so with the wrong action, and were condemned for it.
