Jailbreak 5v5 Ladder

TWL recently started a 5v5 Jailbreak Ladder. I know that lots of us have played JB at least a little, and with the ladder also having UTComp on (with netcode ENABLED) it means that ColdSteel would be able to compete too.

Please post if you are interested in joining a Jailbreak team. I'm thinking about organizing one just as a "for-fun" thing, not as a super-serious competitive thing. Also, I know of at least one other LOBster that is interested in this idea, so it will probably become a hybrid TOJ/LOB/MyUnreal team.

What do you all think?

I would love to! I'm hardly doing anything nowdays so I should be able to make most of the matches. That and I'm moving to Boston so I'll probably be without a church or friends for at least a couple of weeks there.

I wouldn't be able to play matches, but I'd like to get in on Jailbreak pick-up games. Can someone post the link for the Jailbreak mod?

Hey I believe I like this post. Count me in. Now to be able to work around my goofy work schedule. Fun & gun!!!

CS, if you help setting up a TWL account or signing up for the team, let me know (PM or something) and I'd be glad to help.

I logged into TWL but it asked me for my GUID to be entered before it would let me join into the team.

Yes, you will need the last 8 digits of your GUID. Here's how to do it.

  1. Launch UT2004
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Click on the "Game" tab at the top of the screen
  4. In the lower box labeled "Unique ID / Messages" copy the last 8 digits of the GUID on to a piece of paper or something
  5. Exit UT2004
  6. Open www.teamwarfare.com
  7. Log in if you aren't already logged in
  8. Mouse over your name on the left side of the top menu bar
  9. Mouse down to Account Maintenance
  10. Click on Profile
  11. Under the section labeled "Anti-Smurf In Game Identifiers" click "add another id"
  12. Select UT2k4 GUID from the dropdown menu and enter the 8 digits you copied
  13. Click Add Identifier

Then just join the team like you tried to do before.

LOB's private server, the Remainder, is going to be updated with a JB config as soon as Chu can get to a computer.

By the way, guys, our tag is in the form of "d[name]/dx=0" where name is your name. So add the following to your buddies: "d[*]/dx=0" (minus quotes obviously).

Probably I won't be wearing the tag except during matches but some other people might. This team now encompasses quite a diverse, but friendly, chunk of the UT community. Hopefully this will introduce TOJ to a wider audience than what I could do on my own.

It's going to be pretty hard to contact everybody to inform them of matches though. I may end up using my webspace to install a separate bulletin board just to post matches on.

How would you prefer to communicate with team members? If you prefer to communicate via forums, how many threads would you need to create per week?

As much as I hate recommending a Yahoo! service, I'd recommend Yahoo! Groups for internal team communication. As you know, I use the toj-staff Y! Group to send reminders and notices to all Tribe of Judah staff members, all with one e-mail to one address.

If you decide to use a forum, then I'd like to help out. I could either approve your using this forum to post match information or create a separate forum for the team as a service to its members.

No. Chu was on last night, I should have bugged him about it. If it's not up by the time LSD confirms our match (if they ever :rolleyes: ) I'll try to do it myself.

By the way, LOB teamspeak info for match nights / where I usually idle every night:

IP: clanlob.com
PW: lob

And the passwords for the other channels is "unreal" in case you need to grab someone that's in another channel. Just realize that if they're in another channel they might be either playing a scrim/match or AFK.

I just thought of something. Here's the team's Xfire names (just those that use the program)

$arge::LOB:: - jtsarge
=A!M=Hercules - herculesxp
AKillEaze (HeCTiC's brother) - ultimatekilla
YO!»Chrol - chrol
[toj.cc]ColdSteel - coldsteel777
YO!»Concubine:] - madnoobofsxe
[toj.cc]Shagz - shagz
[toj.cc]Killerah - killerah
=A!M=KrAScHeR - krascher
LANDSLiDE::LOB:: - kraniac
Run-Amokk::LOB:: - runamokk
Zorak!::LOB:: - zorakmantis

I see we have a match on Tuesday. Good luck I have to work that night. Also is there going to be practice schedules?

There's not really any practice involved beyond what each person wants to do himself. It's just a for-fun team, to strengthen the unity within the community (heh, rhymes) and get people from different teams talking to each other and having fun together.
