I've been taking notes on the champs of PvP...

And from what I've seen, it goes like this:

3 monks, I've seen both 2 prot and 1 healer and vice versa
2-3 rangers, with apply poison and elite skills like.. is it called precision shot?
2 w/e and a battery necro or, if there's 2 rangers, just 2 w/e.

Now, that was two matches, and there's also the whole spiker/nuker deals. But that's the Championship people, and I am going to start observing their stratogies. One of them is that most the defending guild stays back while ranger or warrior runners draw the offense back, and when they think they have the runners the awaiting defenders pull forward in a vice shape:

__________Ranger__________Ranger___________
__________________________________________
_____Monk or Ele________________Ele or Monk__
____________Runner coming back_____________
__Warrior_____Runner coming back___Warrior____
__________________________________________
___________^Offense coming this way^________

The Rangers and Ele's hit the offense hard from the back/middle while the warriors come from the front and front/sides, and the runners backtrack around and fight the offense from the back or the sides, depending on the strategic position. NOTICE the V shape of defenders that would come together like a vice.

Well, there's my two cents. I'll write something about different defensive options and offensive strategy later.

I've also been taking notes and stuff like that... Though because I'm a Ranger, I've mostly focused on them:

The ONLY Ranger combo I saw in any match I was watching was a Ranger/Mesmer. The most important skill they had seemed to be Apply Poisen because as soon as it would run out, they re-did it, and they also all used Blackout quite a bit. Then a couple matches, they had both Dodge and Crippling Shot or Imagined Burden or something like that, and they would chase down the runners (usually warriors...). It was really fun to watch... kinda like studying up.
