It's too quiet in #cga. Come chat it up.

Regarding Steam... I click the triangle next to the group name and hit join group chat. Didn't realize inviting needed to happen for it.

And thanks to Kendrik's post, I just discovered if you go to your groups and click on the group chat, you automatically enter. So, no invites are actually necessary... That may be something that needs to be made known to the ToJ peoples so we can actually get some action going on and such.
Aye, I didn't mean to suggest that invites were necessary to enter the channel, but rather that people typically don't join the channel unless invited--just like IRC.

We've never had much success building consistent activity in a single-channel or single-room real-time text chat. We regularly see 5-15 users on TeamSpeak in the evenings, but they're scattered across several channels.

I've more or less resigned myself to CGA being largely a "turn-based" (i.e. not real-time) community, but if anyone would like to take it upon themselves to find new ways to make it convenient for people who've never used IRC before (or used it infrequently) to maintain a persistent connection to #cga on irc.us.gamesurge.net, there's a staff position available for you.

And if there really is interest in a CGA Steam Community Group, just say the word and I'll create it. I'll probably add multiple admins as soon as possible so getting an invite to the group will be quick and easy.
