it's.... THE THOUGHT POLICE!

We really are living in the end times. Get ready all; we will be persecuted for our faith.

Well you know, Christians have been persecuted for the past 2000 years or so. Doesn't necessarily mean the end of the world is coming soon.

I wish I could find a link, but there's some bill a nutcase is trying to pass where if a child isn't happy and he makes it known, the parents will be fined or sued or something and the child will be taken away.

"HALP!!! I IS NOT LIKING VEGETABLES!!!"

*ahem* anywho I'm sure the ACLU is backing ALL of this...

Wouldn't an organization fighting for civil liberty do the opposite?

Also, an article on Democrat-backed legislation written by the Republican whip is certainly not going to be neutral. I'd like to have seen more specifics on what the bill actually contained. Politicians on both sides love to throw everything down the slippery slope. It's a very convenient device.

P.S., Christianity has been persecuted somewhere in the world for most of its existence, but let's not use that as a convenient excuse to get a persecution complex. We are by far the largest religion in the US. I don't think ANY of us knows what it's like to be persecuted.

There have been countless people trying to muzzle the mouth a Christians. Yet Thanks to God Almighty, it will never happen. Yet, honestly; the hate crimes laws "can" be helpfull, yet it still bothers me that it stops Christians from speaking against anything we don't agree with.

It doesn't "stop" them... it just nets Christians that might speak against something of that sort jail time.

What do you mean? It doesn't stop them, yet it threatens them with jail time? I don't understand your context.

It will probably get to a point where if a homosexual couple wants to get married, and the pastor refuses, the couple can put the pastor in jail. I guess your right, Christians will always speak the truth; yet the government will at least "try" to stop us, by convicting Christians of this hate crimes law.

They try and preach love and acceptance by calling us Redneck, cracker, honkey, NAZI, homophobe, and biggits.
But they will constantly tell us "IT IS WRONG TO FORCE YOUR WILL UPON SOMEONE!!!"
