IP Address server things...

Forgive my noobness... but...

I see lots of "join us at join.ip.address.here" or "our server is at.this.address.now". Lots of IP addresses...

I have always searched for servers in the game start menu and then favorited them...

How do I join a server with just it's IP address?
 
Once in game, if you click the "favorites" tab in the server browser, there's an option to "Add by IP address"

I've always done it that way. :)
