I should introduce myself. I am new to TOJ and my first post was a criticism for something I saw on the server, so probably it was out of place before at least a proper introduction.
My name is Wayne. I live in Cleveland, OH and have been a born again believer since a very early age. Until recently, I regularly attended church every week. Lately I have begun to spend more time studying the Word, and have not joined my church as a member due to some doctrinal disagreement I have with their changing doctrine (and their original doctrine as well, for that matter).
I am 26 years old, and work in banking. I'm basically middle management at the branch office of a wholesale non-prime mortgage lender, which is a subsidiary of a very large bank.
Besides that, I am the publisher of a monthly newspaper (really more of a news magazine) in my suburb of Cleveland with plans to expand county wide, statewide, and eventually nationwide in the coming years.
I have experience in radio, and frequently fill in for the regular host on a political talk show that is aired in the evening on a Christian station in Cleveland.
I have consulted on political campaigns ranging from city council to US Congress. I attended Case Western Reserve University (though never graduated, although i'm thinking of doing that on a part time basis) and studied economics.
I'm a drummer, a very good golfer and bowler (could have gone pro in either if i had had the money to quit my job / school and travel and train), and I like to go boating.
Mostly, I spend my free time networking with fellow political types and investors / deal makers on this project or that. This is because I get easily bored really.
Finally, I'm pretty opinionated, and will from time to time challenge everything and anything you believe or think. It's never personal, and never for destructive purpose, but I also never pull punches. Wrong is wrong and that's that. (I believe Christ was the same way)
I have done a great deal of detailed study of the Bible and have discovered that many of the pillars of doctrine in hugely successful churches in this nation are either completely false, or very unsure. From time to time I may write on these topics.
I hope to learn from you all, and hope you can learn from me. I love playing CS, and probably play too often for my own good, so you may see me around quite a bit. CS is the only video game or computer game of any kind that I play, except for the occassional spider solitaire on my laptop.
Please note however that I really know my stuff, and have run up against every argument imaginable on the topics that interest me. So if you make a claim or a statement, be able to back it up. I'm here to learn and network with fellow Christians, so intellectual honesty is very important to me.
Also, my clan is |EoP| (Enforcers of Peace), so you'll often see me with their tag on as well. I hope that's not a problem.
God Bless,
Patriot
