People said Kerry lied about his military carear, does that have anything to do with the issues or was that personal. Just because u don't like the facts about Bush's past u talk about deleting the thread.
But what part of what I wrote upset u, was it the fact that he was a drunk driver, he used to do cocaine, he grew up being a rich playboy partying everyday, the fact that his dad pulled strings to get him in the national guard, and barley attended it. Then to cover up his history he suddenly becomes a loyal christian, which was a perfect political startagy because he could always show that he's changed after finding christ. Think about it.

J u always want threads moved to the religion forum. This is a christian based forum, people will always loof at every topic from a religious point of view. U'd have to move everything to the religious forum.

That's weird, b/c I thought this was the Counter-Strike forums. If you wanna debate this topic with your absurd and irrational comments and arguments, go to the general forum or a non-gaming forum, not here.
 
Id love to have a proper debate over politics but Mech can't stay on topic long enough, he'd rather bring up the past (and yes I know Im bringing up Kerry's vietnam name stuff but HE CHOOSE to put that on his campaign so its fair game). I just wanna know whats gonna make Kerry a better president. What is he gonna do for us that Bush hasn't. Ive seen his voting record in the senate and let me tell you its not looking promising for the people.....I just wanna know what he is gonna do for me besdies raise my taxes, live off the Bush administrations economy, and make our government control everything making for socialism.

But see, THAT is what Kerry wants to do.  He wants to raise taxes (we're currently working until MAY to pay our tax bill (at least those of us in the top 50% of wage earners who actually pay taxes), and he thinks that is not long enough), cut defense and intelligence spending and raise socialist programs designed to keep the poor in their place (i.e. begging for scrapes from the government) and allow the ecoterrorists run rampant, blindly ignoring actual scientific evidence in a bid to remove anything they personally don't like the sound of from our environment.  He wants to make it harder to run a business in this country.  

As for Iraq, it gets even better.  What he's going to do is (and this is according to HIS own statements/website) the EXACT same thing as Bush.  Except, because he is Kerry, it's supposed to magically work better all of a sudden.  Just because he is Kerry, France, Germany, Spain and Russia, will suddenly see the LIGHT! and rush troops to help out in Iraq.  It seems to me, that Kerry is so biased by his hatred of Bush, that he thinks that these nations withheld troops and support, because they hate Bush as well, rather than an actually non-interventionist, please walk over me, policy on the part of those nations.  To top it off, Kerry will do it while denying those self-same armed forces the budgets necessary to do the job.
 
He Kidan, you can call the USA the 11th Province of Canada if John Kerry becomes the president. John Kerry has many of the same policies that our ignoramuous Prime Ministers in the last 11 years have put into place.

Now, for our armed forces, our lightly armoured personel carriers are stock Jeep YJs. Yep, go to your local jeep shop, pick up a bottom of the line YJ, you'll have our version of the hummer.

Our navy just picked up a bunch of used submarines from the British for a few hundred million dollars each. Each of them are rendered unfit for service because they all leak.

Our Airforce is made up of 36 usable CF-18s. We only have 20 pilots for them.

Our heavy recon helicopters are 40 year old Sea Kings. For each hour of flight, they required 30 hours of service. In 1992, the conservative government entered into a contract to replace them. In 1993, the newly elected Liberal swine cancelled said contract for about a half a billion dollars. Here we are, now 11 years later, and the Liberal government has just entered into contract to purchase replacements from the same company and the same helicopters with slight modifications that they cancelled 11 years ago. We weill receive these new copters starting in 5 years with final deliver of the last copter in 15 years.

I think we Canadians have more on our plate to deal with without having to go on Bush bashing campaigns. I think Canadian who insist on Bush bashing would do better by putting that energy into criticing their own governments. That way, we remove the planks from our own eye so we can see better to help other countries with the speck of sawdust in theirs.
 
Well the council was supposed to decide on political debate in the meeting last night but it was cancelled. So i am taking the initiative. Please keep all political discussions to the CGA religious discussion or general forum.
 
We have real hummers in canada, my friend is in the reserves and he just got trained on them last summer.

You all do realize that you are electing a president, not a priest, right? Calling Kerry the anti-christ is just a taaad overdramatic. More or less half of the country is going to vote for him, you know.
 
Yep.

I'm not saying he is at all, but that's just my opinion of him and how he comes across to me. 1) He's trying to please me instead of doing what he knows to be right. That is one example. For two, the bible says that this person will be very popular, and will "deceive many", so popularity or how many people plan on voting for him isn't a good defensive argument, if that's what you were trying to imply.

I'm not electing a priest, but I am electing what I feel to be a good Christian leader, and that's the most important thing to me.
