Internal Tourneys

Well im willing to set everything up but i would need someone to hold the tourney who has admin and preferably rcon. if i remember rightly the hardest part was getting everyone to spectate when they werent playing...

Im thinking a few tourneys we could have are..

3v3 tourney (only buy from menu 1-3 pistols/shots/subs)
2v2 scout tourney
2v2 mp5 tourney
1v1 awp tourney

i will be making belts again yes.. i will host them in a subfolder of my toj.cc account so that people can be posted the link when it changes hands.

my pc is down for a week or so, but once i get it back up i will start talking with elite/para/exodus about setting up a way to get tourneys going easily..

btw does anyone have elites email addy.. i tried one but it bounced.. O_o
 
Also i thik the way i will do it is this..

1. post a signup thread for any tourney coming (with date and approx time)
2. post the draw for the teams.
3. Hold the event in order for the teams drawn. but people may come to spectate if there is room. however in the 3v3 tourneys people will have to sit on steam and use the friends list to be told when to come in the server and when to leave.
4. People should be hanging around as they may fill a spot if people dont show.

Just so you know Rizz ... Steam's Friends Network is VERY unreliable.

I know, I was referring to Rizz making belts again like the one in your avatar. Jeremy always jumping to conclusions and being a smart alect tisk tisk

**Rizz** Steam is unreliable and the friends list is the most unreliable part of it all, I suggest using IRC #toj channel to do tourneys its the best way that I can think of.
 
rgr on the irc.. with steam willing to do a ALT+TAB easier than its 1.5 counterpart i think we can switch between game and irc easily now.

Zealot, the A team scrims practically everyday against cal-o/im/m teams, and I think we've only lost like 4 matches. If you're not on the A team, how can you say it needs more structure and dedication?
 
Bah, before this thread becomes a flame war...

Goose, the post date for Z's original post was six months ago. The competition team has done quiet a bit since then which no one can argue. So I just want to put this to rest before anything else bad is said.
