Important Issues of Christendom

Oh dear, kinda fragile, aren't we? I'm sorry you interpreted that as a personal attack, believe me it was anything but. I make an argument, you make a counter argument. Sensing a brick wall I try and circle around rather than smash my head against it - you demand a frontal assault. I make one, you claim personal attack.

I'm also sorry you don't want to continue the conversation - after all, that post took me quite a while to research and detail.

Well let's see here...

Who here has the most open mind about the bible, you or I? I think you'll find on deeper reflection that it is not *I* who has the biased view of the bible.
Right here you claim I am more biased then you are, and thus, my opinion has less weight on this topic. Who are you to decide when you barely even know me? I know I am biased, and I know you are biased too.

And if the above doesn't shake the idea that the book you hold in your hand is the inerrant word of God, then NOTHING I can say to you will. If you're so far gone that you take this as a compliment, then I truly despair for you. In addition, if I were a Christian I would pray devoutly for your soul, because it seems to me that by following a broken book blindly, you can only arrive at salvation by chance!
Tell me, would I be here, posting on a board while knowing Atheists also post here if I was not open to outside discussion? Or would I knowingly attempt to read documents that center around this topic?

Finally, if you truly are not biased, as you say you are, why do you close any further discussion from this paragraph, and instead criticize anyone who might choose to disagree?

I hope I have answered your points now, and given you something concrete to chew over. I presented to you these EXACT problems in more general terms in the hope that you could philosophically arrive at the notion that you need to check out the source in order to hold the divine word in your hand. You refused to entertain the notion and now the truth must taste bitter to you, and be just as hard to swallow.

Where you go from here is up to you. Easier to build a wall than undertake a journey, isn't it?
Again, why would I be here and build a wall at the same time? It doesn't make sense. If I really did not want to know the truth, I would not be searching for the truth. Yet how do you draw these conclusions that I'm not accepting the "truth" that you laid out for me?

Trust me, you are not the be all and end all source of information. You have provided some good points but only a fool chooses to hear from a single informant. Why do you think I asked for your sources in the first place?
