Tanking instances on my now 64 DK... It's really fun and instant~Should I just keep doing this to level up? It seems like the gear/xp would be better than drudging through zones of quests...at least up until 80.

Your thoughts?

In the back of my mind I'm thinking I should do a zone in between a ton of instances, or should hit one of them up to get specific dungeon quests...hrm.
 
If you're enjoying it, then keep on going! When my tank was my main, I found it easier to stay prot spec and get gear from dungeons and quests going into max level, rather than use a "leveling" spec and try and accumulate gear after you've hit max level...

But I've always been a big fan of leveling as whatever spec you want to be at max level.
 
i lvl'd as prot as well. however i have found that questing can speed the process up for me (i seem to always be in a hurry). if you are liking the way you are doing it, then stay the course!
 
With dual spec being only 10G, I think it's good to have a tank spec if your class is capable of it. U can have your DK have a tank spec and your other spec can be whatever (DPS, PVP, Lvling).

I have tried all 4 tanking classes and I give them a tank spec no matter what. I luv instant ques. :D I would say Warriors are the funnest; I have 2 warriors lvl 80+. :o Pallies are the EZiest and most OPed. Bear Tanks (drood) are animal versions of warriors. DKs are oddest, but they get the job done. I have no idea what i'm doing with my DK. He's only lvl 69, but I haven't really researched their abilities. I just hit bottons and he seems to hold aggro pretty easily. :)

you're at a level right now where you get more than one instance..when you hit 69 your choices in instances drops dramatically so im warning you that you may get burned out...i typically switch to leveling battlegrounds in between questing when i hit northrend. Glad to hear you enjoy tanking though :) we need more of them and i encourage you to keep doing dungeons as you level...good experience.
 
Yeah, I noticed the drop in choices with Northrend content opening up. I started quests to get a full set of fresh wrath gear and then a few utgarde runs to see if I could get that axe.

Didn't drop at all, but I just hit 70 last night, and I'll continue to work on the quests and possibly a nexus/utgarde run or two if I feel like it. I play so sparingly throughout the week, that doing a run here and there isn't burning me out. If i have more time to play, such as on most weekends, I'll sit there and quest to mix it up. I'm finding good balance.

Haha true. And good! That's the way it should be!!! Druid tanks are leet.

I'd love to play again but I'm to busy with other things currently. Been playing final fantasy 13 a lot. Haha :)
