I'm looking for a note card program

I'm looking for a program that will let me build a database of note cards with searchable terms on each card.

I have a lot of pieces of paper and note cards, napkins and envelopes with sermon ideas and thoughts on them. I'd like to put all those scraps into a note card program and then add search terms on each card for the thoughts. I had a program like it before but it was lost during a reformat once upon a time.

Preferably free but I'm willing to pay for a good program if it's out there.

It would also be nice if I could add links on the cards or file save locations if I build something from the thoughts.
 
If I weren't so out of practice, I'd offer to try building one for you. Sounds like it could be a fun programming project. :)

Sidetracking aside, I don't know of such a program off the top of my head, but I'd be interested to hear of your finds. Good hunting!
