Oh my, I hope my words can help you....
when I was your age I thought that school was boring, so I quit doing all my work....which was a huge mistake, but it wasn't the first nor the last of the mistakes I would make....
I also thought that starring contest were more fun than school work....especially trying to maintain a starring contest for one entire class period....but you know starring didn't really get me too far.......
come progress report time I had all F's....and let me tell you, my parents were NOT happy....they were on my back for the rest of the school year, actually come to think of it they were on my back for about the next two or three school years....and it was really aweful...
so I had to get weekly progress reports from my teachers which was really embarrasing...I hated it, I hated them for putting me through it but then when I thought about it I realized that I had kind of put myself in that situation
Now by the time I was a junior in High School I was making straight A's again...I finished high school strong...was among the top 10% of my graduating class, got a full academic scholarship to the college of my choice...
So what did I learn through all this? That remaining focused on that which doesn't build me up and help me grow is a total and complete waste of time...and also that parents really do want the best for us and they will do what they have to so that we know that....
which you know we could think the same of our Heavenly Father as well...some lessons are harder to learn than others....
